I love this pre-wedding shoot as it was a chance to do something slightly different than usual. Richard and Chris chose the grounds of London’s Barbican Centre with its vast swathes of brutalist concrete architecture for their pre-wedding shoot, and they requested a shoot in the style of the promotional imagery for synthpop music duo Hurts. The challenge was combining the very cool, aloofness of the band’s shots with some that showed a bit of affection as our heroes are getting married after all; I think we pulled it off with a nice combination of the two. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding this winter. Congratulations Richard & Chris!
